The Ultralight Articulating Night Vision Binocular - Full Control Ruggedized (UANVB-FCR) “Manticore-Ruggedized” is an articulating binocular housing made of high strength aerospace grade 7075-T6 aluminum with a full suite of onboard digital controls. Using advanced multi-axis CNC machining an ultra lightweight and robust design is achieved, including an optimal single piece pod geometry. This binocular includes features such as digital manual gain control, individual pod stow shutoff, IPD stops, user adjustable pod tension, IR-illuminator & indicator, and low battery indicator. The device is powered on-board by a single CR123A for a continuous runtime of ~25 hours.

The Manticore-R is easily the most feature-rich goggle available on the market. It allows plenty of aftermarket sales support by utilizing legacy parts and commonly available MX-10160 format tubes. The Manticore-R comes with a 5 year warranty on the Image intensifier tubes and a LIFETIME warranty on the housing. On top of that, they come standard with ~10mm keyrings to attach common lanyards such as the Wilcox NVG lanyard that will provide a fail-safe solution for attaching the NVG to your helmet... without wrapping Velcro-mounted shock cord around the goggle.
